The Great British Beer Festival is one of the biggest, most exciting and well-known events in the beer and cider world. Organised by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) and run almost entirely by volunteers, it brings hundreds of real ales, international beers and real ciders and perries under the iconic Olympia roof.
As well as the huge range of drinks on offer, visitors can enjoy a varied selection of street food and snacks. Entertainment is also included as part of the ticket price with live music every afternoon and evening. In between the food and music, visitors can also test their skill on a variety of traditional pubs games, or browse the various festival shops for pub books, brewery memorabilia or CAMRA merchandise.
Youll get the chance to find out more about CAMRAs vital campaigning to protect pubs and support British real ale, cider and perry producers. CAMRA book authors will also be on site to sign books and talk about their work.
Beer and cider experts will be running tutored tastings throughout the week to help you learn more about the craft which goes into making Britains best beers, ciders and perries – and help you understand more about appreciating the flavours and ingredients in the drinks.
And of course one of the most prestigious beer competitions in the world – the CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain – will be judged and announced at the start of the Great British Beer Festival. Make sure you get to sample a taste of the beer given the crown in 2017!
