CHAMPION BEER OF BRITAIN - IT'S HISTORY & IMPACT

As CAMRA celebrates its 50th birthday, what better time to celebrate its flagship beer award?

This session will cover the history of the Competition and its impact. But the Awards have never operated in a vacuum so Christine will talk about how the changing beer market has influenced the beer judging categories over time and will explain CAMRA’s new beer styles categories.

To get the best out of the session, Christine is recommending that attendees bring some beer of their own along and is suggesting:

· A traditional brown bitter

· A golden ale or an American hopped pale ale

· A lager or a sour beer

· Something dark like a porter, stout or old ale.
