Volunteering Opportunities at GBBF Winter!
The Great British Beer Festival (Winter) is one of CAMRA’s national Festivals and will be held in Birmingham in February 2022.
The Organising Committee are now looking to add new members to their team of volunteers to work in the following key areas:
Beer Selection Team: In this role you’ll be talking with breweries and wholesalers (national and regional) to create a list of interesting new beers as well as classics covering all styles and gravities. You’ll not need to order any beer but the Selection Team will submit your beer list to the CAMRA Office staff to raise the orders and deal directly with suppliers directly (and arrange delivery of the beers, collection of empties and payment details).
Commercial Team: In this role you’ll liaise with CAMRA staff regarding food vendors and other stalls at the event and get involved in talking to potential sponsors etc.
Social Media and Marketing Team: If you have social media skills you’d like to use and develop then this is a great opportunity to get involved. You’d be assisting our marketing lead and CAMRA staff in promoting the Festival to encourage ticket sales and attendance. During the Festival, you’d help run the social media accounts to keep the momentum and interest going.
Staffing Team: Our Staffing Officer needs help in the day to day running of the Staffing Office and Team. If you have good organisational skills, want to gain experience of managing people, rotas and more – this could be an ideal opportunity to get involved.
Site Team: Volunteers required to assist in the day to day running of the site during the event.
There will be many more roles available during the Festival – whether you can only do an hour or so a day or a whole day!

All volunteers get FREE entry to the festival, a festival t-shirt, a number of beer and food tokens and best of all, the great feeling of being back at a CAMRA festival!
